Ears are the most common location for all types or piercings. Ear piercings are quite safe and can be of different sizes. With the help of a taper one can stretch the opening in one?s ear to be able to wear a plug or a thick tusk, pincher or talon. Further stretching makes it possible to wear tunnels. In fact nearly any type of body jewellery can be worn in the ears, including those designed for other parts of the bodies. For example, captive bead rings and all types of barbells including navel curves are often used for ear piercings, and are selected for a variety of reasons including the availability of larger gauges, better piercing techniques, and a disdain for mainstream jewelry.
