Horizontal Eyebrow Piercing
Horizontal piercing along the ridge of the eyebrow alternative option to the classic eyebrow piercing. Due to its nature it is regarded as a surface piercing, so it should be done with a surface bar. Horizontal eyebrow piercings are usually placed along the higher brow ridge as shown in the picture below, but placement may change depending on the private choice and anatomy of the individual being pierced with Horizontal Eyebrow Piercing.
Piercing through the lower lip frenulum
This is basically a reversed smiley piercing ( scrumper ). A frowny is generally a ring placed thru the webbing that sits central on the lower lip. This piercing is in general thought to be a "private" piercing since it doesn't usually show when smiling like an higher lip one does.
The exception to this is when a large diameter CBR is worn, permitting the ball to rest on the apex of the lower teeth, though this could cause gum erosion and lead to tooth rot This piercing was named by Israeli piercer Sarai Bismuth, who also named the Frowny's opposite the SmileyPiercing
Eyelid piercings
Though extraordinarily rare eyelid piercings have been done, as the top photograph ( taken at a Florida tattoo convention ) shows. These ones were taken out one or two days later. Not due to issues with the piercing ( according to the wearer it felt fine and didn't irritate the eye ), but due to allergies to pollen! The lower image is another example of one done by Joe Amato, ( Tatt's Taylor's Tattoo in Fort Lauderdale, FL ). As of this writing the wearer of Eyelid piercings has had it for roughly 3 months and reports no worries.
Chin piercing
This piercing is a weird surface piercing through the flesh of the jaw. It doesn't pass within the mouth at all ( like a labret does ), but instead exits below the jaw. Often the piercing is done horizontally, but vertically is the most commonand simplest to healplacement. Many times when those outside the piercing community say "chin piercing" they basically mean low labret ( aka Lowbret Piercing ).
Cheek piercing
Cheek piercings are sometimes done using long labret studs, placed thru the "sweet spot" in the cheek customarily right where a dimple falls. Other placements are completely possible though veins are much more likely to become a problem, still, it is definitely not unknown for an individual to have a row of cheek piercings ( although the dimple location is by a large margin the commonest ).
Bridge piercing
A bridge piercing passes horizontally thru the fleshy part between the eyes above or at nose level ( a vertical bridge piercing is a surface piercing and technically quite different ). Bridge piercing is best done with a straight, curved ( this may sit crookedly unless it is a flush fit ), or staple barbell, unless it's being done less deep to permit the wearing of a smaller ring. When making the switch to a ring, be certain it's well healed and it is a D-ring or at least permits snug moving. Otherwise it may start migrating or scarring, especially those done nearer to the bone ( there's nowhere for the ring to move but forward ).
Austin bar piercing
The austin bar piercing ( named after the 1st known person to get the piercing, as performed by Patrick Bartholomew ) is a horizontal nasal tip piercing thru the point of the nose. It doesn't pass thru the septum itself, neither is it "exposed" within the nasal cavities. If it was, it might be a nasallang.
Ashley Piercing
The Ashley piercing can be viewed as a sort of inverse vertical labret, with one bead sitting on top of the lip while the other end is within the mouth instead of outside. This gives a reasonably unique piercing with only a single bead sitting in the middle of the lower lip being obvious.
Anti Eyebrow piercing
The anti eyebrow piercing is a facial surface piercing. The Anti Eyebrow pierces the higher cheek just under the eye.
The jewelry is generally angled with the lower bead further out than the top bead but it is commonly angled the other way.
Placement.
Below the lower orbit of the eye, on the fringe of the cheekbone area of the cheek. Process . The area to be pierced should be carefully thought about before performing anti eyebrow piercing. Facial nerves and muscles should be pinched and manipulated to insure the best placement. The piercing can be done with the standard clamp and pierce technique or with the more modern dermal punch and taper methodology, adopted by many piercers in the previous few years. Given correct placement the agony is marginal.
