Septum Piercing

The septum piercing passes thru the nasal septum ( the middle of the nose ) and is frequently known as a "bull-ring piercing." The nasal septum is the cartilaginous tissue dividing wall between the nostrils. Typically , the cartilage itself isn't pierced, but rather the tiny opening between the cartilage ( often referred to as the "sweet spot" ) and the base of the nose, sometimes at a gauge no smaller compared to 14ga ( 1.6mm ). It must be noted that acute stretching of the septum will certainly deform the nose, pushing it down and out.

This abnormality is usually known as "septum droop." The degree of deformity will be different from individual to individual depending on their nasal anatomy.

In a lot of ways it is equivalent to a t-bar piercing or a vertical lobe piercing thru a tunnel. This piercing was first done by Toro in Spain who called it a "Jungle" piercing, and by Obscurities in Texas who named it the "Septril" after giving one to Pat Tidwell ( pictured ). Of the 2 names, septril piercing appears to have once been the one that stuck.

Scalpelled Labret

Primary massive gauge labret cutting. Labrets can be started at a large gauge by cutting across the lip employing a knife. This cutting is virtually always "with the grain" of the muscle ( horizontally ) but can be done vertically too.

Three / 8" to 0.5 " is the ordinary starter size, but plugs for Scalpelled Labret as big as 2" and bigger have been inserted at first.

Nick Piercing

Visually ( instead of culturally ), this glamorous piercing echoes the renommier schmiss. The nick piercing, reminding one of the dueling scars well-liked among Austrians 100 years before, is kind of like the complete opposite of the vertical lowbret.

Nasallang

This is an atypical combo piercing made of two nostril piercings ( one in each nostril ) with a septum piercing at the same level between the two. A single piece of jewellery, typically a barbell is worn connecting all 3 though from an intruder's view it'll simply appear as two nostril piercings presuming the barbell sits flush with the skin.

This piercing is generally done all at the same time, but it can be done separately ( though there is not any categorical advantage to doing so, as some have disagreed in the case of the commercial ).

The nasallang was invented ( well, first publicized ) by the well-known piercer Cliff Body .

Medusa piercing

The medusa piercing is kind of like an inverted labret piercing. It is a piercing thru the centre of the higher lip, vertical to the tissue if it is angled it'd be a Jestrum ). This piercing was mentioned in the mid 1990s by Kerrick, a hairstylist and model from Toronto, Canada.

Madonna Piercing

Upper lip beauty mark piercing A Madonna is a labret placed in the higher lip, off-center, in the same place that a number of starlets have beauty marks ( moles ).

Jewellery is usually around fourteen gauge labret studs, or even jewelled labret studs.

Labret piercing

The Labret is a piercing thru the lower lip.

Placement.

Placement is vital since a too-short bar can really sink into the lip. Additionally, on some folk the jewellery can rub on the gum, leading it to recede. When a ring is meant to be worn in Labret piercing it is often done at a slight angle to keep the ring from rubbing on the teeth.

Avoid the inferior labial artery that supplies in blood all of the muscle round the mouth.

That is obvious with a forceful light. 2 labrets on all sides of the lip are usually refered to as "Snakebites", when captive bead rings are worn. 3 Labrets is often refered to as "Spider Bites."

Horizontal Tongue Piercing

A horizontal tongue piercing is precisely what it sounds like a piercing done across the tongue ( from ear to ear ), instead of vertically.

Placement.

It has be done both at the tip and deeper into the tongue, and multiple concurrent placements have been proven to be possible. The placement that puts that impedes speech and eating less for the individual getting pierced should be used. The part of the tongue that bends with speech etc isn't an appropriate placement for this piercing. The area decided on to be pierced should then be checked for veins with a flashlight. It is vital to recollect that not everybody's anatomy is suited for this piercing.
